It's Snow Joke Released

Happy Holidays!

The idea was to release this last Christmas as a teaser for the full game, but we were still in the middle of putting everything together for the full release and ran out of time. We didn't want this to go to waste however, Dom (Speccy Nostalgia), had put together a new end of level boss which deserved some attention.

So at the beginning of December I put the assets we had into a level file. Only a few lines of code were changed in the main executable to get this all working, the rest was achieved in the level file format. As well as some additional festive jingles during the game, I've included the very first (test) version of the music we wrote for the game back in the 90's. (You might be able to guess what I was listening to at the time if you are of a certain age!)

I also put in a small tutorial at the beginning of the game to help new players understand some of the basics, in the form of the scientist character giving some instruction.

This level will eventually make it's way to the full game with alterations, but for now go and download and shoot off those Santa Hats!
